Resilience, but make it funny

Resilience, but make it funny

A Panel Discussion with Comedians Ahmed Al-Kadri, Caroline Cummings, and Sam Brilhart
Facilitated by RLC Co-Founder Andi Fetzner

We almost scheduled this event on April Fool’s Day… but then realized it might be even funnier the day after.

This event explores the surprising connection between laughter, recovery, resilience, and mental health. Through humor, storytelling, and honest conversation, our comedians share how comedy has helped them navigate addiction, family dysfunction, grief, and the everyday stress of being human.

Because sometimes the most powerful resilience skill is simply being able to laugh at life.

Expect a lively experience full of comedy, reflection, and connection that will leave you lighter, wiser, and maybe even a little more resilient.

Audience

  • People interested in resilience, recovery, and mental wellness
  • Helpers, therapists, educators, and team leaders
  • Anyone in recovery from… well… life
  • People who haven’t laughed in a while
  • People who laugh at inappropriate times (you are especially welcome)

Whether you’re navigating stress, supporting others, or just looking for a night of meaningful laughter,
resilience—but make it funny is a reminder that humor can help us process, connect, and heal.
