Greetings all! I’m honored to be the facilitator of this community book study. A little about me: I recently moved to Northern Arizona after 2 years of being a nomad. I have a tuxedo cat named Maxie. I am a trauma survivor and have been a therapist specializing in trauma and resilience since 2014. I am most looking forward to learning from the participants in this group. I believe that every story matters and am grateful to be offering a space to share and grow together.

Hi Andi, so nice to virtually meet you last Thursday evening. I would like to be prepared for the March 5th call and meeting, so if you have any prompts to consider, do let me know. Otherwise, if it is just an organic book club kind of conversation, I can do that too! My belief here is while we cannot work to completely eradicate the evils of childhood sexual abuse, we can certainly do our best to spread awareness and educate the public. I tend to disagree with Pamela on one thing – she mentions how the topic makes people uncomfortable to talk about and has widely been considered taboo subject matter. While this may have been true for the last fifty years or so, with the more recent surfacing of the Epstein files and the horrendous sex trafficking situation both in the US and abroad, it is very much a topic that is becoming in my belief, more mainstream and not so taboo any longer; at least I am hoping so. In fact, I believe that now is the perfect time to shed light and bring such subjects to the fore and into every day conversations. Anyway, just my two cents; and I am here for it!
