What to Expect
This is an introductory course in understanding and managing the roots of conflict with the intention of transforming how we understand—and therefore respond—in conflict and other difficult situations. This training is rooted in lived experience and offers practical ways to navigate and transform conflict at both personal and societal levels.

More About Kara
Kara Hunter is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Sacramento City College. Prior to becoming a faculty member, she spent over 20 years in the nonprofit sector providing leadership and advocacy across areas such as conflict resolution, restorative justice, and systems change. Kara is from California’s Central Valley, where she learned to drive a tractor before she learned to drive a car.
